For those wanting to really push the boat out, we've put together an "extra special" parcel of six vinous superstars.

Big names from Champagne, Bourgogne and Chateauneuf join a couple of heavy hitters out of left field and, to finish, a cheeky glass of Port of course!

Description
White Burgundy is the white wine of Christmas. In our opinion, it should be the white wine of always, but that’s an argument for another day. A natural, textural Burgundy that’s as classic as it is exciting.

Description
Fifty percent Nebbiolo blended with Vespolina, Uva Rara, Croatina and others local varieties from vines up to a hundred years old. Ivano Barbaglia and Paola Fornara make tiny amounts of spectacular wines: this one has been a Quality Wines favourite since we first got our hands on it.
Pairing & Serving
This is a wine for snacking on little bits of fatty ham. Not with too many people, mind, you won’t want to share it.

Grape 95% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre/Cinsault/Syrah
Description
Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the quintessential Christmas wine and this one comes from almost 100-year-old vines This is a dense, rich wine with layers of raspberry and black cherry fruit, spice and liquorice. It’s balanced by wonderful fine tannins and will sit comfortably on any Christmas table.

Every single point during the Christmas period is an appropriate time to open this bottle.

Grape Petit Manseng
Description
A complex sweet wine made from 100% petit manseng. Beautiful, rich but also balanced; with great tension between the new oak and exotic fruits.
Pairing & Serving
This wine is pretty special but will last open a few days in the fridge. Why not open it on Christmas eve and have a little half-glass here and there. It probably won’t last as long as you originally thought…..

Grape Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional & Touriga Franca
Description
You say Christmas, we say Port. A beautiful Tawny port that spends ten years in barrel before bottling. This is not a sticky, ruby port: It’s fresh and balanced; with lemony acidity and spicy oaky notes.
Pairing & Serving
This port would be a great aperitif or the perfect end to your Christmas meal. You could also give it to someone as an incredibly generous gift: however, we strongly advise that you only do this if they are the type of person who is willing to share.
