Healthy chuncks of chuck steak is slowly braised overnight in a mixture of rich veal stock and Guinness until the liquids reduce to a thick, glossy sauce. This pie is a true winner!

Pastry: Flour (gluten), water, duck fat, salt, egg (egg) Filling: Beef, Guinness, veal stock ([celery], shallots), thyme, bay leaf, flour (gluten), black pepper, salt

Cooking Instructions

Bake on a tray at 220°C for 25-35 minutes. Test the core temperature of the pie by using a knife or metal skewer before serving, ensuring the centre is piping hot. The pastry should be a deep golden brown.
