Retired dentist Robson Vilela set up this multi-crop farm (he also farms bananas and has installed several large fishing lakes on the property) in 2001 in the Brazilian region of Cristina.
This coffee definitely suits an espresso machine producing a gorgeously sweet crema but, could also do well under a longer steep in a clever-dripper or plunger. A really hearty coffee for those who like their roasts on the darker side.

Monmouth Coffee Roasters was founded in 1978 and since then, have occupied an important place in London's coffee world as purveyors of carefully sourced, single-origin beans. Their focus on individual farms and farmers over larger coops may seem de riguer these days but Monmouth has been pioneering this space for far longer than most.
