Winemaking is hard. Mitch Sokolin, the winemaker here, is a real grafter; at one point he was globetrotting to such effect he was managing to do three vintages in one year. Australia, Spain, Italy, Georgia; been there, done that, and he's got the t-shirt. This is a whole bunch Dolcetto from the Dogliani side of Monforte, and is super low-intervention winemaking, barring a perfunctory amount of SO2 for bottling. Perfumed, blackcurrant and tobacco leaf.
